when the coffin appears — lid raised<\/p>\n
white, stone cold you look into her eyes<\/p>\n
and exchange the stares of her past<\/p>\n
and your future amongst the white roses<\/p>\n
the march continues with all eyes<\/p>\n
piercing your moulded form<\/p>\n
as it is being carried away —<\/p>\n
she remains all smiles beneath the tears<\/p>\n
that have so innocently wet her cheeks.<\/p>\n
She is all that remains of the parade;<\/p>\n
a Cleopatra, Deliah, Lady Macbeth.<\/p>\n
… the tears of joy which fllod the anxiety<\/p>\n
the curve of her lips which released the sorrow<\/p>\n
and not it has ended with this march and<\/p>\n
me knowing that someone is glad that I am dead.<\/p>\n
