Ontario peaches, pears and plums have been thriving in the area ever since.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: 11pt;\">In 1792, Lady Simcoe, wife of the King&#8217;s representative for British North America, wrote in her diary that she had 3 standard peach trees that helped provide her with treats over the winter.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; font-size: 11pt;\">In 1860, the menu at a dinner for the Prince of Wales noted that Brown&#8217;s peaches would be served.
