It\u2019s like deja vu all over again \u2013 as my life is turning out to be one big clich\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n I am continually trying to prove that you\u2019re only as old as you feel. <\/span><\/p>\n And I don\u2019t feel my age, yet the mirror on the wall tells a story or two\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n I stare into bloodshot eyes, searching for the next challenge, because<\/span><\/p>\n It ain\u2019t over \u2018til the fat lady sings<\/span><\/p>\n (and, heck, there aren\u2019t any fat ladies in my life at the moment.)<\/span><\/p>\n Rolling sevens, with an ace in the hole, and guess where the horseshoe is?<\/span><\/p>\n I\u2019m covering the bases, playing hard ball and looking to hit it out of the park.<\/span><\/p>\n I need to keep my eye on the ball and with the lemons given to me \u2013 make lemonade.<\/span><\/p>\n Yet, I\u2019m neither clever nor profound; there\u2019s no diamond in the rough. <\/span><\/p>\n I\u2019ve come to believe we\u2019re all human – that and a quarter will get you a cup of coffee\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n My hope is this cloud has a silver lining and today is but the calm before the storm.<\/span><\/p>\n I\u2019m ready to answer the bell and not pull any punches; I\u2019ll dance, shuffle,<\/span><\/p>\n I\u2019ll whistle pass graveyards if need be; for what goes around will come around and <\/span><\/p>\n I\u2019ve come to know all\u2019s well that ends well; all live happily ever after \u2013 and I will too.<\/span><\/p>\n So, there\u2019s hope.
