According to many pundits, the number one concern on Canadians’ minds as they must choose between Parties\u2019 approaches to governing is the country’s economy.<\/p>\n

So, here are 5 truths that our politicians should keep in mind when making their election promises \u2013 and 5 statements that voters should keep in mind as they are being wooed by their own tax dollars.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You cannot legislate the poor
\ninto prosperity by legislating
\nthe wealthy out of prosperity.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What one person receives without
\nworking for, another person must
\nwork for without receiving.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The government cannot give to anybody
\nanything that the government does not
\nfirst take from somebody else.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You cannot multiply wealth by
\ndividing it!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When half of the people get the idea that
\nthey do not have to work because the other
\nhalf is going to take care of them, and
\nwhen the other half gets the idea that
\nit does no good to work because somebody
\nelse is going to get what they work for, that
\nis the beginning of the end of any nation.<\/p>\n
