- Just do it – write. Put one word after another. Find the right word, put it down. And, if it’s not the right word, put it down anyways (you can always edit later).
- Put your writing away for a night, a whole day, a week (whatever it takes) and then re-read it like you are reading it for the first time. Let your trusted friends read it. Fix what doesn’t read well. Read it one more time, edit and accept it – and then move on (you’ve got more to write!).
- Always finish what you are writing. Like a campfire, when you have come to an end of a piece, extinguish your thoughts and feelings and don’t leave anything to smolder. In this way, you’ll have peace of mind to pack up and leave for your next writing adventure.
